NASA Begins Testing To 3D Print On The Moon

FACTS: NASA is now experimenting with 3D printing in a vacuum chamber in hopes to soon begin building on the moon. In early April, the Granular Mechanics and Regolith Operations (GMRO), as part of the Relevant Environment Additive Construction Technology (REACT) of 2022, built a vacuum chamber with an environment that mirrors current moon conditions. The company is using Regolith Simulant, moon soil, and a polymers to use as ‘ink’ for the printing test.
