Zika Virus : Brazil To Weaponize Radiation To Eliminate Aedes Mosquito Population

FACTS: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced on Tuesday its “family planning” strategy for the Aede Mostiquto, which primarily carries the Zika Virus. Sterile Insect Technology (SIT) exerts gamma rays on male mosquitoes, making them sterile, deters the further spread of the virus by directly creating inviable female eggs and slashing the population by 80 percent or more.
