Stay Current News exists for readers who want the news without being told what to think. Every story we publish keeps these six promises.
- Facts first. Every story opens with the verified facts — what happened, who was involved, when and where — before anything else.
- Every claim has a source. We attribute what we report to named people, official records or established news organizations, and we list our sources at the bottom of every article so you can check them yourself.
- No spin. We don’t use loaded or emotional language, and we don’t tell you how to feel about the news. Our headlines say what happened.
- Every side, in its own words. When people disagree, we describe each position the way its own supporters would, and give each fair space.
- News is never opinion. We don’t take sides on political questions. If we ever publish commentary, it will be clearly labeled as opinion and kept separate from the news.
- Mistakes are fixed in the open. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and add a note to the story saying what changed.
How we keep it
- Every story follows a written style guide that bans loaded language, unnamed “critics say” claims and one-sided sourcing.
- An automated neutrality check flags slanted wording and thin sourcing before a story can be published.
- An editor reads every story before it goes live.
Hold us to it
